TREE PRESERVATION PROCESS
We follow a five step process for tree preservation. We are involved through all steps of the construction process, from planning to post-construction. By considering trees in every step of the construction process, we help maximize the survival of existing trees.
Existing trees and other landscape features are assessed through a tree inventory, including tree suitability for conservation. Project design is then created with trees in mind. Protection measures are prescribed and the trees are monitored throughout the construction process. Finally, post-construction measures are prescribed to help preserved trees recover from construction and survive many years into the future.
Our efforts help achieve compliance with governmental regulations and site and client goals. We will research all relevant municipal ordinances in your area to determine tree preservation requirements. We can also handle all paperwork and plan submission to the local municipality. Our preservation efforts can also help achieve certifications such as LEED and SITES. Andrew, our President, is a LEED AP ND and has several years of experience in helping design sustainable landscapes.
